These terms and conditions govern how you view and accept content expressed on the sintrahouses.com , and complement the privacy policy evidenced on the website. If you do not agree, or do not review the terms and conditions hereinafter, you should not continue browsing this website.


Lendas de Sintra – Alojamentos e Eventos, Lda., with registered office at Rua Manuel Henrique, 160, 2645-56 Alcabideche, with the National Register of Local Accommodation RNAAL Nº 18142 / AL, and with the National Registry of Agents of Tourist Animation RNAAT No. 1275/2018, manages the registered trademark Sintra Houses by Lendas de Sintra .

All content and information (texts, logos, trademarks and images) are considered intellectual property of Sintra Houses by Lendas de Sintra®, and may not, in whole or in part, be reproduced, copied, altered or disseminated by any means of communication, without the express written permission of Sintra Houses by Lendas de Sintra®.

The definition of the contractual conditions for the activities to be developed between the company and the client is regulated by this document, being fully understood when the client accepts to subscribe a service of activity of tourist animation .

This document clarifies the general conditions for participation in the activities, which may be supplemented by specific conditions, which prevail over previous ones.

We strive to keep your data safe by employing appropriate security measures to ensure that your personal data is protected and to prevent unauthorized access. However, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure, and we can not absolutely guarantee the security of the information transmitted through our website, not taking responsibility for viruses or other damages that may be caused to users.

We also respect the confidentiality of your information. As such, we do not sell, distribute, or otherwise make your information commercially available to any entity.

You will only communicate your data to third parties if such communication of data is necessary for the provision of services or by legal obligation.

Access to this site is subject to acceptance of these conditions and any litigation related to it will be governed by the current Portuguese legislation, with only the courts of the district of Cascais, renunciation of any other.

The agenda of the activities is made available through the website, indicating the type of activity, location, price, duration, and others, being valid for the dates presented.

The activities described are clear and specific, giving all the information necessary for the subscription of the service by the client. Due to certain external conditions, such as weather and seasonal conditions, the contents and parameters of the offer may be subject to slight adjustments, which will be communicated upon confirmation of reservation acceptance.

The reservation acceptance, communicated by email to the client, includes the details of the activity in which the participant will participate, as well as a set of rules of conduct. The client, when formalizing their request to participate in a given activity, assumes that they are aware of the underlying rules.

Within the scope of the activity, the enrolled person agrees and authorizes, that their photographs are obtained and used for the event’s announcement on sintrahouses.com and on Sintra Houses by Lendas de Sintra® social networks.


We consider it very important to comply with the schedules of the activities, but sometimes and in function of their development, our advisors may need to adjust the times. We make it flexible for up to 15 minutes start time, so that all the people gather at the meeting point defined for each workshop and activity.

After this time we are not responsible for the absence, and consequent non-participation in the proposed activity, and the client can not claim any credits.


The activities, workshops and programs published on the sintrahouses.com website are the exclusive responsibility of designing and marketing by Lendas de Sintra, Lda. under the brand name Sintra Houses by Lendas de Sintra®.

The formalization of registration in any activity is done through the registration form available on our website, at sintrahouses.com, or by email to reservas@sintrahouses.com . The registration assumes acceptance of the terms and conditions of purchase of our services, and the respective agreement with the general and specific conditions of the activity in question.

Your enrollment also reflects your commitment to pay the full price for the activity, workshop or program you enrolled in.

You will then receive an email confirming your reservation and payment instructions for the activity. Payment must be made by bank transfer to the IBAN indicated, and it is necessary later to send the proof of transfer to reservas@sintrahouses.com .

If you wish to issue a Receipt with your NIF, you must request it at the time of payment.


We have made a commitment to comply with our agenda, however, sometimes we may encounter impediments beyond our control, such as weather conditions that may compromise the safety of participants.

If the activity, workshop or program has to be canceled for reasons beyond our control, we will do it as soon as possible to present a suitable alternative date, always subject to the weather conditions of the respective day, or under certain conditions, we will fully refund your reservation.

We reserve the right to cancel activities in the following situations:

  • Weather or other conditions make it impractical;
  • There is no nr. minimum number of participants;
  • There are no security conditions;
  • There are no other conditions, essential to the activity.

Cancellations by customers are subject to a refund of their payment, as long as the customer requests it by email, up to 72 hours before the start of the activity, and case Sintra Houses by Lendas de Sintra

If the activity, workshop or program is exhausted, no refund will be made, but we will do everything in the shortest possible time to present an alternative date.


The safety of our participants is a key aspect for Sintra Houses by Lendas de Sintra®, we therefore fully comply with safety standards to minimize the risks associated with outdoor activities.

When making a reservation in an activity carried out by us, whether in the form of pedestrian activity, cultural workshop, interpretive walk or other, the client assumes full compliance with the instructions given by our advisors, as well as by the good rules of conduct in society, with full respect for nature and collective facilities.

The company Lendas de Sintra, Lda. assumes no responsibility for attitudes, vocabulary or improper behavior of participants in its activities, reserving the right to terminate a activity if standards of conduct or safety conditions are compromised.

The safety of our customers is also their responsibility. The decision to enroll in our activities is the sole responsibility of the client, so the client must ensure that he or she is in good physical, psychological and health condition so that he can carry out the proposed activity. It will always be an individual and unrenounceable decision.

The client accepts that, given the nature of the activities to be carried out, there may be a risk of immediate access to medical care.


The transport to and from the meeting place referred to in our programs is not included unless expressly stated otherwise.

The course indicated in the programs is orientative, but may be subject to change according to criteria defined by the activity supervisor.


RNAAT No. 1275/2018

Civil Liability Insurance– Policy nr. 204904801 – Allianz

It covers property and non-property damage to third parties, for civil liability resulting from the activities recorded in the company’s registration as a Tourist Animation entity.

Personal Accident Insurance – Policy nr. 20494826 – Allianz

The participants of our activities are covered by a Personal Accident insurance, activated on behalf of the Client, with the following coverage:

• € 22,132.78 total and permanent death or disability;

• € 3,824.76 treatment costs


Reservation Confirmation

The reservation is only confirmed after the deposit of 30% of the total value of the same has been credited to the indicated bank account. Full payment of the reservation is due 15 days prior to check-in.

Guests can cancel, without any additional charge, up to 60 days before arrival (full refund, excluding all bank transfer fees).

30% of the reservation amount will be charged if the guest cancels in the 60 days prior to the check-in date and 100% in case of no-show.


Casa da Capela has a maximum capacity of 4 people, all prices refer to accommodation, not number of people.

Villa Maria has a maximum capacity of 6 people; all prices shown on the website are intended for 4 people. Additional costs will apply if booking is made for 5 or 6 people. The reservation will only be confirmed after the final price has been sent to the total number of guests, and the subsequent 30% deposit will be credited to our bank account.

Children are considered adults and should be reported as such.

Security Deposit

Upon check-in you will be charged a security deposit of € 100.00, payable in cash, and returned at check-out after inspection of the property for possible damages.

Check-in time is from 15:00 until 19:00 , and check-out is between 08:30 and 11:00 : 00h .

Responsible Guests

Guests are responsible for leaving the accommodation in good condition for cleaning and hygiene. The furniture and other equipment should be in the same condition in which it was found.

Guests should avoid making noise or provoking situations that may in any way inconvenience neighbors, and it is their responsibility to learn about safety precautions. Guests agree to have an adult supervising children while they are in the house or in the garden.

Guests are responsible for their own safety for this purpose and when they consider appropriate, they should lock doors and windows, gates, etc.

Guests are fully responsible for driving their own car inside the property, assuming all expenses in case of loss.
